Dr. David Wilds
I am privileged to have the opportunity to serve as the Administrator of the Dragons Opportunity Virtual Academy (DOVA). I am excited to work with a highly qualified and dedicated staff, the wonderful students, supportive families, and amazing community.
I grew up in Statesboro and attended school in the Bulloch County School District. I received my undergraduate and master’s degrees from Georgia Southern University in Early Childhood Education and Education Leadership. These degrees helped form my leadership and teaching approach. To better understand the role and responsibilities of being a school leader, I continued my education at Walden University to earn my Specialist’s and Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership in 2014. My wife, Jennifer, is a teacher at Hill City Elementary. We have three wonderful children, Brody (8), Annalea (4), and Adaline (2).
Most of my free time is dedicated to my family and their activities. Brody attends Hill City and is active most of the year with sports. Annalea is always involved in something whether it is dance, riding horses, or teaching her sister how to play Barbie dolls. Annalea is enrolled in the Pre-K program at Hill City. My youngest child, Adaline is the apple of my eye. She already has me wrapped around her fingers!
